DALL-E is the most literal of the major generators. Where Midjourney interprets your prompt through its house style, DALL-E tries to render exactly what you described, which makes it the better choice when you need a specific layout, object, or scene rather than a mood.
Its biggest advantage is the ChatGPT integration: you generate and refine images in conversation, adjusting with follow-up messages instead of rewriting prompts. The aesthetic is cleaner than it is striking, and the content filters are stricter than open models, but for controllable, instruction-driven image generation it is hard to beat.
